ATP: Chung and Monfils start in Stuttgart

Shooting star Hyeon Chung from South Korea and French crowd favourite Gael Monfils will be presented at the ATP tournament in Stuttgart (9. till 17. July). This was announced by the organizer on Thursday.

Chung (21) had caused a sensation at the Australian Open last year and only dropped out of the semi-finals against Roger Federer, who later won the tournament. The man from the country of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games also left his mark at the end of last season as the great triumphator of the first-ever Next Gen ATP finals of the best U21 players in Milan. Monfils, on the other hand, had an outstanding start to the season with his win in the first week of January in Doha.

Nick Kyrgios (Australia) and Grigor Dimitrov (Bulgaria) had already confirmed their participation in the grass court tournament in Stuttgart. The event is endowed with 729,340 euros. Last year Lucas Pouille from France won the tournament.
