MLB: Media: Darvish signs with the Cubs

Yu Darvish has apparently found his new team. The Free Agent is said to have signed a six-year contract with the Chicago Cubs. The official confirmation of the Cubs is still pending.

As Jon Paul Morosi of MLB. com reports, Darvish is said to have agreed to a six-year contract worth $126 million. The sum could reach up to 150 million dollars if Darvish won the Cy Young Award several times, the award for the best pitcher in the league.

According to Morosi, only the medical check is still outstanding. Darvish could replace Jake Arrieta at the Cubs, who is also available as a Free Agent.

In addition to the Cubs, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Minnesota Twins were also seen as hot prospects for 31-year-old Darvish.
