ATP: Gojowczyk in New York in last sixteen

Peter Gojowczyk won his first round at the ATP 250 in New York.

The 28-year-old from Munich defeated Blaz Kavcic 6-4,6-4,6-4 and now meets the four seeded Adrian Mannarino.

“Gojo” is the only German starter at the new ATP event in the Big Apple. Kevin Anderson is top seeded here, ahead of Sam Querrey and John Isner.
