Olympia 2018: Biathlon: Gold at France in the Mixed Relay – Germany Fourth place

The German biathletes barely missed the medal in the mixed relay. The German quartet in the formation Vanessa Hinz (Schliersee/0 Nachlader), Laura Dahlmeier (Partenkirchen/1), Erik Lesser (Frankenhain/1) and Arnd Peiffer (Clausthal-Zellerfeld/1 penalty round) had to settle for fourth place after 2×6 km and 2×7,5 km.

The third placed Italians missed 0.3 seconds in the finish sprint.

Gold went to the French team around double Olympic gold medalist Martin Fourcade, who became the most successful Olympic athlete in the history of his home country with his fifth gold medal. Silver went to the Norwegian relay team.
