ATP:”Not possible without my team”: Roger Federer thanks his (ex-)coaches

He keeps talking about it, and now Roger Federer has also thanked his team figuratively – not forgetting his former coaches.

Thanks to the team is part of every award ceremony, and Roger Federer doesn’t let himself get away with it – as far as award ceremonies AND words of thanks are concerned.

Now the new/old world number one also thanked his former team members:”I could never be the oldest number one without my team. Thanks to everyone who helped me along the way.”

Besides his family, Federer’s first trainer in Basel, Adolf “Seppli” Kacovsky (1989-1994), Adolf “Seppli” Kacovsky (1989-1994), his youth coach Peter Carter (1991-1995,1997-2000), Peter Lundgren (2000-2003), Tony Roche (2005-2007), José Higueras (2008), Paul Annacone (2010-2013), Stefan Edberg (2014-2015) and Ivan Ljubicic are immortalised in the Instagram photo. Federer spent the period between 1995 and 1997 at Ecublens’ Swiss training centre, and was also frequently on his own. And of course Federer has long trusted Severin Lüthi and his fitness coach Pierre Paganini, with whom he adorns the centre of the picture.
