ATP: Matches by Stan Wawrinka on Facebook Livestream

A sponsor of Stan Wawrinka has announced that all matches of the Swiss player will be broadcast in the social media at the ATP 250 tournament in Marseille. Fans of the 32-year-old can follow his live performances at the Open 13 Provence on Facebook.

“Wawrinka said,” I’m thrilled to get this opportunity, and my fans are always supporting me on social media, so I’m happy to offer them this service. I really enjoy interacting with my supporters and I hope they enjoy this action.”

Wawrinka follows in the footsteps of David Goffin, who also showed his matches on Facebook at the ATP event in Montpellier and advanced to the semi-finals. Obviously, this form of broadcasting tennis matches has a future.

After his comeback at the Australian Open, Wawrinka tries to gain a foothold on the ATP tour after a lengthy knee injury. In Down Under, the three-time Grand Slam champion failed in the second round at Tennys Sandgren.

At the beginning of February Wawrinka entered the semi-finals at the Sofia Open, where he was defeated by Mirza Basic. Last week in Rotterdam it set an unexpected first-round defeat against the world rankings-259 in Rotterdam. Tallon Griekspoor, who celebrated his first victory on the ATP tour.

Wawrinka is second in Marseille and enjoys a walk-through in the first round. In round two, he will face Ilya Ivashka of Belarus, who had no problems in his 6-3,6-1 win over Laslo Djere of Serbia.
