WTA: Kerber in Dubai in quarter-finals

Angelique Kerber (Kiel) has once again made a strong appearance at the top-class WTA tournament in Dubai and entered the quarter-finals without any major problems. Germany’s number one defeated Italian qualifier Sara Errani 6-4,6-2.

18 victory in the 20th century Seasonal match: Kerber of the former French Open finalist was able to reduce the serve five times. After 64 minutes, the solid performance of the sixth placed German was already over again.

In the round of the last eight, the ninth in the world rankings will meet Karolina Pliskova. The Czech is in third place in Dubai.

At last year’s $2.6 million tournament in Dubai, Kerbers best result so far has been last year’s semi-finals.
