ATP: Karen Khachanov wins second career title in Marseille

Karen Khachanov celebrated his second ATP tournament victory of his career at the Open 13 Provence in Marseille. In an entertaining finale, the Russian beat local hero Lucas Pouille in three sets.

With 16 aces, the 21-year-old prevailed after one hour and 49 minutes with 7:5,3:6,7:5. Khachanov had won in the round of sixteen in Mischa Zverev. In the semi-finals, he won 6-3,6-2 against Tomas Berdych.

This means that Khachanov has won both of his previous ATP finals. Already in 2016 he won the tournament in Chengdu in the final against Albert Ramos Vinolas.

Khachanov collected 250 ranking points with his tournament victory and collected 115,150 euros, while Pouille was allowed to take 150 points and 60,645 euros home with him.
