ATP-Challenger/ITF-Tour-Round-up: Pütz and Krawietz with semi-finals

Last week Davis Cup player Tim Pütz made it to the final round of the ATP Challenger in Kyoto/Japan (50,000 US dollars).

The 30-year-old Pütz beat fellow countryman Tobias Kamke in the quarter-finals (6-4,6-0) on his way there, but then lost to Australian Jordan Thompson with 6-3,5-7,4-6. The title was won by Thompson’s compatriot, who placed John Millman at one.

At the Future tournament in Jerba/Tunisia (15,000 US dollars), Kevin Krawietz reached the semi-finals. The 26-year-old had taken top seeded Lucas Catarina from the tournament in three sets in the quarter-finals, but then Alexander Vasilenko lost 3:6,4:6.
