No sensation for Florian Mayer in Dubai: the long-time German Davis Cup player was defeated by Roberto Bautista Agut with 3:6 and 4:6.

The match lasted just under 77 minutes at the Center Court in Dubai and then the Spaniard, who had placed third, made the move into the next round clear. Although Mayer was able to reduce his opponent’s serve three times, the player from Bayreuth admitted five breaks.
