The German Davis Cup player Jan-Lennard Struff has reached the eighth-finals at the ATP tournament in Dubai. The 27-year-old Warsteiner defeated the Austrian Andreas Haider-Maurer in 57 minutes 6:2,6:4.
Struff followed Philipp Kohlschreiber (Augsburg) into the round of the last 16. That’s where the world rankings-56 meet. either the Japanese Yuichi Sugita in eighth place or the Belarusian Ilya Ivashka. Struff, who scored 13 aces against Haider-Maurer among others, used his second match point on Court 1 after 57 minutes to win. There were a total of seven breaks in the game.
