ATP: Struff loses in Dubai’s last sixteen

The Warstein-based tennis pro Jan-Lennard Struff has been eliminated in the last sixteen at the ATP tournament in Dubai. The 27-year-old Davis Cup player was defeated by the Japanese Yuichi Sugita 6:7 (4:7), 4:6.

Florian Mayer (Bayreuth) and qualifier Yannick Maden (Stuttgart) were eliminated in the first round.

From a German perspective, only Philipp Kohlschreiber will be represented at the 3.057 million dollar Hartplatzturnier. The player from Augsburg will face Stefanos Tsitsipas from Greece in his round of sixteen on Wednesday afternoon.
