Handball: Kieler Handball Toft Hansen changes to Veszprem

The Danish Olympic champion Rene Toft Hansen will leave the German handball record holder THW Kiel after his contract expires this summer. The currently injured circuit runner changes to the Hungarian champion Telekom Veszprem, where he has signed a one-year contract.

Toft Hansen has been playing for THW Kiel for the past six years and will be joined in the summer by international player Hendrik Pekeler, who together with Patrick Wiencek forms the duo in the circle runner’s position as in the DHB team.

“I’m glad that my future has been sorted out,”said Toft Hansen:”I want to get fit again as soon as possible so that I can help my team properly by the end of the season. It is only after this that a new phase of life with a completely new challenge begins after great years in Kiel.”
