Approximately seven weeks have now passed since Andy Murray underwent surgery on his right hip – and the Scotsman worked hard for his return.
Murray would probably prefer his fans to train on the tennis court already – currently it seems as if the former world number one is only getting into shape in the gym. Murray now shared a post from one of his sponsors who showed him on weight lifting.
Gym work and Pilates are currently the therapies of his confidence, and at the end of March he may be able to return to the training ground, reports the British Times.
Other media are already speculating whether Murray will return to the pitch before his planned comeback goal, the grass court season. However, this is doubtful. The sand season in particular aggravated the problems at Murray’s hip last year, even though he made it to the semi-finals at the French Open.
In Wimbledon, Murray then limped through the tournament more badly than right, even a photo in a British tabloid newspaper, where Murray’s readers were supposed to rub his hips healthy, helped little. After the unsuccessful attempt at conservative treatment, Murray finally decided to have surgery after his Australian Open cancellation in January.
