The Houston Rockets currently have the best record of the league with 48-13 and are generally considered to be the biggest threat to the Golden State Warriors (48-14). Draymond Green has now said that he has no objections to this duel.
“Maybe that’s what happens when we have to beat the rockets in the playoffs, and then I like our chances. No matter who we play against,”said Green to SI Now,”but we know they’re a threat. They’ve managed to get some very strong players in and, as has been said many times before, this team was built to be like us.”
“That’s noted,”Green continued.”Great. We’ll see you soon.”
In the last three years, the Warriors have always had the best record of the league, and in 2015 and 2017 they became champions. In the current season, however, they have lost two out of three games against the Rockets. However, Green also made it clear that there is no guarantee that you will meet each other in the playoffs at all.
“There are so many good teams that we would have to beat in order to reach this point. And so are they,”Green says. At the moment, however, it looks a lot like that: The rockets have won 14 times in a row and James Harden has won the MVP Award, the Warriors have won seven of the last eight games.
