WTA: Return to Indian Wells: Görges back in training after hip injury

Julia Görges has cured her hip injury suffered in mid-February and will return to the WTA tour at Indian Wells in California in early March.

The 29-year-old from Bad Oldesloe, who had made her way into the top 10 for the first time at the beginning of February and is currently number 12, told Instagram on Wednesday:”I’m training again, my hip has healed up. I can prepare for my trip to the United States now.”

The tournament calendar of Julia Görges shows the tournaments in Miami (from 20. March) and Charleston (from 2. April). The highlight in April will be the Fed Cup home game on 21-22 April. April in Stuttgart. There, together with former world number one Angelique Kerber (Kiel) she will face eight-time Czech Republic winner Karolina Pliskova (No. 5) and Petra Kvitova (No. 9) in the semi-finals.
