Tim Pütz remains in double top form: After his strong performance in the Davis Cup against Australia with Jan-Lennard Struff he won the title with Tobias Kamke at the Challenger in Yokohama/Japan.
Kamke and Pütz won the $75,000 tournament in the final with 3:6,7:5,[12:10] against the top seeded Sanchai and Sonchat Ratiwatana. Kamke/Pütz had already eliminated the two seeded duo N. Sriram Balaji/Yasutaka Uchiyama from the tournament in round one. For Pütz it was the ninth double title on Challenger level, for Kamke it was the third.
Kevin Krawietz in Jerba/Tunisia (USD 15,000) is also victorious in the doubles, but on a future level. The 26-year-old won here with Mariano Kestelboim against Eduardo Dischinger/Ken Onishi 4-6,6-3,[10-7]. In Xiamen, China (US$15,000), Sarah-Rebecca Sekulic won 6-1,7-5 alongside Shilin Xu over Yu Liu and Ziyue Sun.
Dominik Köpfer in Gatineau/Canada (US$25,000), Peter Torebko in Antalya/Turkey (US$15,000) and Romy Kölzer in Solarino/Italy (US$15,000) also reached the semi-finals.
