WTA: Sharapova sighted with “new love”: A Briton with royal contacts

Maria Sharapova floats in the seventh heaven of love. This is at least what the internet platform womenstennisblog. com claims, which published photos of the Russian woman with Alexander Gilkes. One shows Sharapova and the smart British holding hands.

38 years old, born in London, son of a nationally renowned dermatologist – and friends with Prince William and Harry, whom he knows from his time at the elite Eton College in the English county of Berkshire. Believing the portal’s report, Alexander Gilkes, who, like Sharapova, is extremely interested in art, seems baked for the blonde tennis queen from Siberia with her adopted home in California.

It fits in with the supposedly perfect picture that the self-made millionaire knows the language of his new companion and how the sports superstar should love Russian literature. Gilkes’s mother, in any case, worked at Oxford’s elite university – of course, in the department responsible for Russia and Eastern Europe. In the action house of Alexander Gilkes (“Paddle8”), Princess Eugenie, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, also worked as a manager.

According to the press, Gilkes and Sharapova’s liaison could be “a perfect match”. The 30-year-old was engaged to the Slovenian NBA professional Sasha Vujacic in the past and lived with her tennis colleague Grigor Dimitrov (Bulgaria) for some time. At the wedding of the now divorced Gilkes with fashion designer Misha Nonoo in 2012, several members of the British royal family visited Venice. Lana Del Rey sang as a star guest.

The five-time Grand Slam winner Sharapova and Gilkes were photographed by Paparazzi at the end of January for the first time at the airport in Los Angeles. Both with sunglasses – she in flannel coat and white sneakers – he with headphones around his neck and a roll suitcase on his hand. The first day. In March they visited the Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills together. Sharapova has a house nearby.

In her autobiography “Unstoppable – My Life so far”,”Masha” described the difficulties of being a female professional tennis player on tour and having a relationship:”Forget about having a boyfriend. You’re never home. The only way is to be with someone on your team. Or a gambler. Or with someone who travels and gives up his life for it. And who’s that? Someone who has no life of his own?” Incidentally, only one person with a picture made it into the book: Grigor Dimitrov.
