Angelique Kerber, together with football world champion Mats Hummels and cult rocker Udo Lindenberg, is committed to the latest UNICEF campaign. Under the motto #Stop10Seconds, 10,000 children in Southern Sudan will be saved from starvation.
Kerber (30) has been an ambassador for UNICEF for some time now,”I am talking about something that is really important to me today. Together,”said the two-time Grand Slam winner on Tuesday in a video message that she posted on her homepage.

Hummels stressed that a child could be saved from starvation by donating 35 euros a month. The goal is to save 10,000 children, the Bayern Munich international added in the campaign video:”Every ten seconds a child dies from hunger. This is intolerable for anyone, an unacceptable state of affairs that we want to change,”said Hummels. On Facebook, Kerber asked tennis icon Boris Becker and ski star Felix Neureuther to support the initiative (www.stop10seconds.org). According to tennisnet information, she succeeded…!!!
