Ice Hockey: DEL: Wolfsburg in quarter-final against Berlin

Vice-Champion Grizzly’s Wolfsburg has reached the quarter-finals of the play-offs in the DEL and will meet Eisbären Berlin. Wolfsburg won in the pre-play-offs at the Schwenninger Wild Wings with 3:2 (2:0,1:2,0:0) and secured the required second success in the best-of-three series.

The first matchday of the round of the last eight, which will be played in the best-of-seven mode, will take place on Wednesday. The preliminary round runner-up Berlin will then start with a home game against Wolfsburg.

The Wolfsburg-based Sebastian Furchner (4th), Stephen Dixon (13th) and Brent Aubin (21st), who had already scored 4-3 in the first match, ensured a clear lead early on. However, Damien Fleury (33rd) and Will Acton (39th) once again caused excitement.
