ITF-Tour-Round-up: Miedler with title, Novak with finale

Lucas Miedler has struck El Sheik in Sharm and Dennis Novak has reached a final in Antalya.

Miedler won the $15,000 Egyptian Future in Egypt 6-3,6-4 against the two seeded Karim-Mohamed Maamoun in the final, winning his sixth individual Future tournament – his second this year. In the quarter-finals, the 21-year-old had benefited from a 6-3,4-1 defeat of top seeded Aldin Setkic.

Dennis Novak made it to the final in Turkey at the $15,000 event, but was defeated by the unseeded Juan Pablo Varillas 4-6,4-6. In the semi-finals, Novak, who had been recorded on two occasions, celebrated a narrow victory over Peter Torebko – here he kept his nerves with 1:6,6:2 7:6 (6) at the end.
