MLB: After Lynn Deal – Twins dismissed Anibal Sanchez

The Minnesota Twins have dismissed right-hander Anibal Sanchez. The newcomer was removed from the squad to make room for another new pitcher.

The Twins only signed Sanchez in February to strengthen the pitching rotation. But since Max Kepler’s team and Lance Lynn agreed on a one-year contract this weekend, Sanchez was no longer necessary.

He has a record of 90-94 with a 4.09 ERA for twelve years in service with the Miami Marlins and Detroit Tigers. In his rookie season, the right-hander pitched a no-hitter with the Marlins in 2006.

In the previous year, however, he came up with a 6.41 ERA of 105 1/3 innings for Detroit, so that the Tigers rejected his option for 2018 and became a Free Agent.
