Alpine Skiing: Race cancellation: Rebensburg wins giant slalom ball without a fight

Viktoria Rebensburg has won the small crystal ball in the giant slalom for the third time. The 28-year-old from Kreuth am Tegernsee profited on Sunday from the cancellation of the last race of the season in her parade discipline due to strong winds and poor visibility.

Rebensburg had already won the overall ranking in the “Giant” in 2011 and 2012. She had travelled to Sweden with a 92-point lead over world champion Tessa Worley (France), where she received the ball without a fight.

Rebensburg had won three races of the season and also took three second places.
