ATP: Road to Clay: Nadal back in training

The doc seems to have given the green light: Rafael Nadal is back on his beloved sand…

Rafael Nadal in 2018 had not yet had a good run: In Melbourne he injured his hip in top form and limped frustrated after his quarter-final task, shortly afterwards he had to relinquish the number one position to Roger Federer without a fight. And although he then apparently healed up in Acapulco stayed, here the old injury occurred again. As a result, Nadal also cancelled Indian Wells and Miami. The announcement: Full speed on sand – with the start in Monte Carlo from 15. April.

And it seems the 16-time Major winner is on course. On Wednesday Nadal first posted the okay of his uncle doctor…

… then a video at his Rafa Nadal Academy on Thursday.

Let’s hope that the “Taurus of Manacor” won’t get too wild – and will be back in top form by mid-April!
