NBA: Top Prospect Deandre Ayton wants to register for the draft

College Freshman Deandre Ayton has announced his intention to participate in the NBA Draft 2018. The Big Man of Arizona is considered a potential top 3 pick.

The 19-year-old announced his decision on Wednesday via Twitter: “I am just a boy from the Bahamas who came to the States at the age of twelve and had a dream,” the statement says.

Ayton, 2.16m tall, was voted Player of the Year in the Pac-12 Conference. He played 20.1 points (61 percent FG) and 11.6 rebounds per game for Arizona. However, with 14 points and 13 rebounds, he could not prevent the first-round out of his Wildcats at the March Madness against the Buffalo Bulls.
