NFL: Media: Ram’s favourite in the race for Ndamukong Suh

Ndamukong Suh is still a free agent, the defensive tackle fired by the Miami Dolphins is still considering his options. They are crystallizing more and more clearly – with the Los Angeles Rams apparently in pole position.

NFL network insider Ian Rapoport announced on Monday at Good Morning Football. The Rams are the current favourites for Suh, but the Tennessee Titans and the New Orleans Saints also remain in the race. The 31-year-old had visited all three teams.

Meanwhile, two other candidates are off the table: Suh had already cancelled his planned meeting with the Oakland Raiders last week, and the New York Jets – who are said to have put together the most expensive package – withdrew their offer on Monday.

“That can only mean good news for us,” Rams coach Sean McVay told the Los Angeles Times frankly. Managing Director Les Snead reported on Sunday: “Whenever several teams are involved, you never know exactly what the others are planning. So we’ll have to wait and see.”

Although Suh also has an indisputable contender to choose from with the Saints, the Rams offer the most exciting players: Suh would be in L.A. Aaron Donald – the best defensive tackle in the league -, but Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib would also be the most aggressive cornerback duo of the NFL in the team behind them.
