The German Davis Cup team will travel to the quarter-final duel with Spain and their superstar Rafael Nadal.

The German Tennis Federation (DTB) announced on Tuesday that captain Michael Kohlmann was nominated for the Valencia game by top player Alexander Zverev, Philipp Kohlschreiber and Jan-Lennard Struff. In addition, double specialist Tim Pütz and, for the first time, Maximilian Marterer.

Zverev’s brother Mischa, on the other hand, is missing (3:1) like in the first round duel in Brisbane against Australia. The game will be played from 6. till 8. The competition was held on April 5th in the 10,600-seat bullring “Plaza de Toros” in Valencia on a specially designed sand court.

Spain’s team boss Sergi Bruguera had nominated Pablo Carreno Busta, Roberto Bautista Agut, David Ferrer and Feliciano Lopez alongside Rafa Nadal.
