ITF-Tour-Round-up: Neuchrist and Klaffner with tournament victories in doubles

Maximilian Neuchrist and Melanie Klaffner have struck in their double competition.

Neuchrist won the $25,000 Future in Abuja/Nigeria at the side of the Swede Markus Eriksson 6:3, 4:6,[11:13] over the French duo Remi Boutillier/Tom Jomby – and thus secured his second double title at future level in 2018. 26 years old he was eliminated in the singles quarter-finals.

Melanie Klaffner was successful in the women’s event in Sharm El Sheikh (15,000 US dollars). The 27-year-old won with Anna Morgina against Alicia Barnett/Julia Terziyska in the final 7-5, 6-1; of all teams she had lost against Barnett in the round of 16. The double title was Klaffner’s first this season.
