ATP: Roger Federer is back and starts Wimbledon preparation – on hard court

Roger Federer is back on the court after his time-out and has resumed training. The focus is on the preparation for the tournament in Wimbledon.

The maestro seems to have cured himself. Again Federer took a break after the first part of the hard court season and will not be on the tour until the start of the grass court tournaments.

As last year, the Swiss player disappeared from the entry lists of the sand court tournaments and will prepare himself especially for the showdown in Wimbledon, where he wants to take title number nine. However, this does not mean that the 20-time major winner is on the rotten skin – at least not any more. After a well-deserved holiday and a few days without the yellow felt ball Federer has resumed training.

And again Federer chooses Abdu Dhabi. At least a photo of tennis coach and former ATP professional Peter Wessels pro proves this. The Dutchman posted a picture together with Federer on his Instagram account. “A good training session before the Abu Dhabi Cup,” Wessels wrote under his post. So there’s no doubt that Federer has returned to full training. Because one thing is certain: When Federer completes a training session, it is with full commitment and a goal. To become even better and physically stronger.

However, a small curiosity remains that Federer is preparing for the hard court for the lawn season. Obviously the subtleties in the training plan of the Swiss are not yet so important and the general fitness program is still in the foreground.

FedEx” will most likely return to the tour in Stuttgart and then travel to the old place of work in Halle. What follows is clear anyway. Wimbledon. Of course.
