ATP: Struff, torture and maggots in the round of 16 in Budapest

The German trio with Davis Cup player Jan-Lennard Struff (Warstein/No. 7), Maximilian Marterer (Nuremberg) and Yannick Maden (Stuttgart) has reached the round of 16 at the ATP tournament in Budapest.

27-year-old Struff won his opening match against Estonia qualifier Jürgen Zopp 2:6, 6:4, 7:5. 22-year-old torturer, number 74 in the world rankings, defeated Serbian Viktor Troicki 3:6, 6:4, 6:4. Lucky Loser Yannick Maden (Stuttgart) turned his sixth match point for 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 against local hero Marton Fucsovics in sixth place.

Struff will face Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan in a round of 16. In the German duel against Marterer, 28-year-old Maggots is fighting for his first quarter-final entry on the ATP tour.
