WTA: Despite Tamira Paszek’s comeback defeats: “I am happy”.

For the time being, Tamira Paszek has not experienced any success after practically one and a half years of injury or illness during her comeback. After the double out the day before, the 27-year-old from Vorarlberg with a wildcard had no chance against the Ukrainian Katarina Sawazka (5) in the singles of the 25,000 dollar tournament in Wiesbaden at 1:6.1:6 in only 63 minutes.

The result did not play a role for Tamira Paszek on Wednesday. “One of the most emotional and emotionally intense moments of my career! A lot of feelings and emotions I left out there today,” said the two-time Wimbledon quarter-finalist of the APA. It had been “an important milestone” for them to be back on the pitch. “I am happy!”

Already on Tuesday Paszek had failed at the side of the German Laura Schäder against Anita Husaric/Emma Laine, who was seeded fourth.
