ATP: Brown beats Novak in Munich-Quali, also Masur in the main field

With Dustin Brown and Daniel Masur two German players have qualified for the ATP World Tour 250 tournament in Munich.

Dustin Brown won on Sunday on the Center Court of the ATP tournament in Munich against Denis Novak from Austria: Brown won after a hard fight with 6:3, 6:7 (4) and 7:6 (5). Brown was already leading with a break in the second set, but had to accept the equaliser of the Austrian Davis Cup player for 4-4. Novak finished the set strongly, took the short decision with his third set ball.

In the third set Brown had the better end after a total playing time of two hours. Daniel Masur also made it into the main draw: The German needed almost exactly the same playing time as his compatriot Brown to beat Norbert Gombos 6:3, 6:7 (1) and 6:4.
