A few weeks ago RADO and tennisnet announced the “Follow your Stars” competition – and Dominik Sharaf, Till Hahn, Chaleen Goehrke and Tjark Friesen were lucky: They were our Porsche Tennis Grand Prix Bloggers on Monday and took a look at the court and behind the scenes thanks to their VIP ticket. What they experienced and who they met, you can read with us!

The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix 2018 is once again a highlight for the players and spectators of the WTA Tour this year. Again and again the best players in the world emphasize how comfortable they feel during their stay at the tennis tournament in Stuttgart.

At the Turkish Airlines Tiebreak on Monday evening, top German players Angie Kerber, Julia Görges and defending champion Laura Siegemund also declared that it was always a great pleasure for them to return to Stuttgart to play in front of this audience. Previously, third-placed Elina Svitolina confirmed at a press conference how great the organization of the tournament is and that the atmosphere around the tournament inspires. So it is no coincidence that the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix has been voted the most popular tournament in this category on the tour in recent years.

The official partner and timekeeper of the tournament, RADO Switzerland, also played a major role in this. The RADO brand is not only a pioneer in the watch industry through the special use of ceramics, but also in the tennis industry, RADO has been known for over 20 years for supporting and promoting tournaments and players worldwide as partners. At the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart RADO offers entertainment for young and old with various activities. For example, tennis fans at the RADO stand have the opportunity to measure the speed of their serve and win different prizes.

On Monday the fastest serve of the day was 186 km/h. The lucky winner of the first game of the main field between Daria Kasatkina and Magdalena Rybarikova was allowed to toss the coin on the Center Court, so that the visit to the Porsche Grand Prix 2018 in Stuttgart became a very special one for him.

With many other attractive events that show RADO’s connection to tennis, the official timekeeper is once again making a contribution this year to making the Porsche Grand Prix 2018 what it is – one of the most popular tennis tournaments in the world.
