Tennis has not been easy in the field of eGames to date, if not sports, then primarily football and since turn the different versions of FIFA games. This is now about to change: The French Open 2018 will be the first eSports tournament. “Tennis World Tour” is the name of the game with which qualifying tournaments are currently being played at several venues worldwide.
The final is scheduled for May 25, 2018 in Roland Garros, the day on which the qualifying tournament for the second Grand Slam event of the year ends. “This initiative shows that the Paris Grand Slam tournament wants to meet the latest technological trends and operate in this fast-growing sector,” said a representative of the French Tennis Federation. “This tournament allows us to bring together a community of players who are passionate about both tennis and gaming.
