ATP: Sebastian Ofner eliminated in Lisbon semi-final

Sebastian Ofner did not make it to the final of the ATP Challenger tournament in Lisbon: The Styrian lost to Tommy Robredo in the semifinal round in three sets.

For almost two hours, the Spanish veteran and Ofner gave themselves nothing at the 43,000 Euro event in Lisbon, then Robredo left the field as the winner 3:6, 6:4 and 6:1. The Austrian showed his strength from time to time, serving eight aces, Robredo only two. However, Ofner won only 38 percent of the points after second service. And he had to come here a lot: Only 52 percent of the Styrian’s first serves landed in the field.

Ofner takes 29 points from Lisbon for the ATP world ranking. Robredo will play Christian Garin from Chile in the Sunday final.
