ATP: Geneva: Peter Gojowczyk with second semi-final in 2018

Peter Gojowczyk is on the ATP tour in a semi-final for the second time this year. The 28-year-old from Munich won the quarter-finals of the clay court tournament in Geneva after 1:59 hours against number seven seeded Italian Andreas Seppi 6:3, 6:7 (3:7), 6:3.

In the final four, Gojowczyk will face either Fabio Fognini (Italy/No. 2) or Tennys Sandgren (USA).

Gojowczyk is the last remaining German in the 561,345 Euro tournament in Switzerland. Qualifier Dominik Köpfer and veteran Florian Mayer were eliminated in the round of 16.

Last year’s eighth seeded finalist Mischa Zverev had already lost his opening match on Sunday at the preparation tournament for the French Open in Paris (from 27 May).
