French Open: Marach and Pavic reach quarter-finals

Oliver Marach and Mate Pavic, both seeded at the French Open, made it to the quarter-finals.

Marach/Pavic defeated James Cerretani/Marcelo Arevalo 6:3, 3:6, 6:3, following Alexander Peya and Nicola Mektic among the last eight teams. Peya/Mektic had already won their match yesterday.

Marach and Pavic will face Colombia’s Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah in the quarter-finals; Peya and Mektic will play against Edouard Roger-Vasselin/Rohan Bopanna, who have won against Lukazs Kubot/Marcelo Melo, who are listed on one.

The 37-year-old Marach can now break his “French Open curse” – in 2010 and 2012, he finished in the quarter-finals. He celebrated his first major title at Pavic’s side at the Australian Open 2018, last year they were in the final in Wimbledon.
