MercedesCup: Roger Federer with first performance on Wednesday, June 13th

The date for Roger Federer’s first match has been set: On Wednesday, 13 June, the “tennis giant” will intervene in the action at the MercedesCup in Stuttgart.

Roger Federer’s timetable for the MercedesCup from 9 to 17 June 2018 in Stuttgart is taking shape! After a walk-through in the opening round, the eight-time Wimbledon champion will intervene with his round of 16 matches on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, in the events at the ATP grass court tournament, which is endowed with 729,340 Euro.

“As in 2017, “tennis giant” Federer has waived the sand court tournaments this year and will return to the tennis court in Stuttgart after a break of 80 days. The winner of 20 Grand Slam tournaments played his last game on the ATP World Tour on 24 March at the Masters 1000 event in Miami. Federer will arrive in Stuttgart next weekend and complete his first training session on the Centre Court on Sunday, 10 June 2018, which tournament visitors can also follow. Since two matches of the last qualifying round will take place on the Centre Court before this official training of the “Maestros”, a valid ticket is required for access.

“We are in constant contact with Roger Federer’s management and are preparing everything for his arrival and his first training at Weissenhof. I know from personal conversations that Roger is very keen to win the title for the first time after his numerous successes on grass in Wimbledon and in Halle. That’s why he’s meticulously preparing for the Mercedes Cup. If you want to see Roger Federer live in Stuttgart this year, I can only recommend that you quickly secure a ticket,” explains tournament director Edwin Weindorfer.
