French Open: Nadal match interrupted due to rain

Rafael Nadal must continue a chase to catch up against Diego Schwartzman on Thursday. The match between the defending champion and Diego Schwartzman had to be interrupted several times due to rain.

The quarter-finals of the French Open between Rafael Nadal and the Argentine Diego Schwartzman have been interrupted due to rain and the resulting nightfall. The match will now continue on Thursday at 3:6, 5:3 from the point of view of Spanish world number one Nadal. In the parallel duel between Marin Cilic (Croatia/No. 3) and Juan Martin Del Potro (Argentina/No. 5), the first set was 6:6.

Nadal had lost his first set in Roland Garros against Schwartzman after 37 wins in a row. At 2:3 from the point of view of the ten-time French Open champion, the game had already been interrupted once. Nadal was only able to finish his first round match against the Italian Simone Bolelli one day later than planned due to a rain break.
