ATP: First top 5 victory since January 2017: Djokovic beats Dimitrov

Novak Djokovic has reached the quarter-finals of Queen’s with a commanding victory over Grigor Dimitrov.

Djokovic won against the world champion and current world ranking fifth with 6:4, 6:1 and now meets Adrian Mannarino or Julien Benneteau.

The 12-time major champ thus won for the first time since the Doha tournament last year against a player from the top five of the world rankings. At that time he had won the final against the number one, Andy Murray. As a result, Djokovic often dropped out and underwent elbow surgery earlier this year. However, his performances in recent weeks give reason to hope that he will soon be back at the top again.
