Tennis: DTB extends with Kohlmann and Gerlach

The decision of the presidency was unanimous, the communication said. Kohlmann has been in office since 2015, Gerlach took up his post at the beginning of the year.

“Jens Gerlach and Michael Kohlmann have done an outstanding job,” said Sports Director Klaus Eberhard: “We would therefore like to start the new season with both of them, in which we hope to be able to build on the good performances of our teams this year.

The women had won round one in Belarus with Gerlach despite a torso squad and reached the semi-finals for the first time since 2014. In Stuttgart, however, they were clearly beaten by the Czech Republic 1:4.

Kohlmann’s men won Australia at the start of the year and then lost a thrilling quarter-final match in the bullring of Valencia against Spain 2:3.
