ATP: Zverev brothers win final defeat

Alexander Zverev lost the double final at the grass court tournament in Halle/Westphalia alongside his brother Mischa. In the new edition of last year’s final, the two Hamburgers again lost to Wimbledon winners Lukasz Kubot/Marcelo Melo (Poland/Brazil) 6:7 (1:7), 4:6.

Alexander Zverev played again with a bandage after his torn thigh muscle at the French Open. After their respective first-round defeats in singles at the Gerry Weber Open, the two brothers collected at least double matches on grass before the upcoming Wimbledon tournament (starting July 2).

In the quarter-finals, the Zverev brothers beat German Davis Cup doubles Tim Pütz and Jan-Lennard Struff. So far the Zverev brothers have won a joint double title on the ATP tour, in February 2017 in Montpellier.
