Wimbledon: “Your dreams can come true”: Williams shows daughter the Centre Court

Serena Williams has won Wimbledon seven times. Starting Monday, the “Number Eight” mission will begin for the superstar on the holy lawn. This time the ten-month-old daughter Alexis Olympia will be part of the show.

Of course, the youngest member of the family also received his own accreditation. At the photo shoot for the ID card, little Williams didn’t look happy, but that changed when Mama Serena showed her the sacred lawn.

And not just any grass court on the noble grounds in the southwest of London, but the legendary Centre Court at the All England Lawn Tennis Club on Church Road. There where Serena Williams triumphed seven times between 2002 and 2016.

So the former number one of the tennis universe went to the court with her daughter in her arms and told her the story of her life: “Once upon a time there was a girl who came from Compton and had a dream: Playing in Wimbledon. And her dream came true”, said the 36-year-old and added: “Do you know who this girl was? It was your mama.”

And Serena Williams was sure: “Yes, Olympia. Your dreams can come true.”
