Wimbledon: Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal in lockstep in round three

Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal have reached the third round of the prestigious Grand Slam tournament in Wimbledon almost in step.

Only a few minutes after French Open winner Nadal had left Kazakh Michail Kukuschkin with 6:4, 6:3, 6:4 no chance, the Serb Djokovic also won his duel with the Argentinian Horacio Zeballos 6:1, 6:2, 6:3.

Shortly before, there had been the next early fall of the favourites at the grass major in London. Last year’s finalist Marin Cilic (Croatia/No. 3) lost 6:3, 6:1, 4:6, 6:7 (3:7), 5:7 against the Argentinian Guido Pella. 6:3, 6:1, 4:6, 6:7 (3:7), French Open finalist Dominic Thiem (Austria/No. 7) and David Goffin (Belgium/No. 10) had already failed three other top 10 players early, among the women even their five had failed before the Croatian with the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrow.
