Wimbledon: Serena Williams effortlessly enters the final eight

Serena Williams has reached the quarter-finals in Wimbledon without much effort: The American left Evgniya Rodina no chance at 6-2 and 6-2.

The two players were on the pitch for 62 minutes, but Serena Williams did not want to speak of a flawless performance after the smooth results of 6:2 and 6:2 in the interview. According to the 23-time major winner, she is a perfectionist and there is always something to criticize.

And finally, Rodina would not have reached the round of 16 by chance, as the Russian defeated last year’s US Open finalist Madison Keys in the round before. Especially at the second serve, however, the qualifier had no chance, Williams was often almost on the T-line, hammering one setback after the other into the field.

Serena Williams now meets Camila Giorgi. The Italian defeated the Russian Ekaterina Makarova in the early afternoon 6:3 and 6:4.
