Tennis: When are the Wimbledon finals? Date, TV Broadcast, Livestream

Angelique Kerber could be the first German to win the Wimbledon tournament with a win over Serena Williams since 1996. Meanwhile Kevin Anderson could win his first Grand Slam title with the men. SPOX shows you when the finals take place and where they can be seen on TV.

The women’s final will already be held on Saturday. The duel between Angelique Kerber and Serena Williams starts at 3 pm German time. The men’s final will start at the same time on Sunday. Who will finally play Anderson has not yet been determined.

Since Thursday it is certain that the Wimbledon finale between Angelique Kerber and Serena Williams will also be shown on free TV. ZDF secured the broadcasting rights for the game at short notice, which will also be shown in the live stream on the station’s website.

“We are delighted to be able to show viewers this sporting highlight on free-to-air television,” said ZDF sports director Thomas Fuhrmann. Commentator of the game is Aris Donzelli.

Until now, the live rights had been held exclusively by the pay-TV station Sky. Sky will also be showing the women’s final live on Saturday, while the pay-TV channel will continue to show the remaining Wimbledon matches exclusively. A live stream via Sky Gozur is also available for subscribers.

You can find a liveticker for the match here.

Serena Williams has held the upper hand in previous encounters. The American won six of the eight games against Kerber.

Who will finally meet in the final has not yet been determined. After a spectacular six and a half hour match, South African Kevin Anderson made his first appearance in the Wimbledon final. The duel between Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic was delayed by the long match.

Unlike the women’s final, the match between Kevin Anderson and the winner of the duel Nadal – Djokovic can only be seen at Sky. As usual, you can also watch the final in the live stream on Sky Go.
