Wimbledon: Mike Bryan and Jack Sock win double title

Mike Bryan won his 17th title at a Grand Slam tournament in Wimbledon alongside Jack Sock.

Mike Bryan made history in Wimbledon: At Jack Sock’s side, the American secured his 17th triumph at a Grand Slam tournament with a 6-3, 6-7 (7), 6-3, 5-7 and 7-5 win over South African Raven Klaasen and Michael Venus from New Zealand.

After all, it was Sock’s second triumph in the grass Mecca: in 2014 the 25-year-old had already won the winner’s trophy at Church Road alongside Vasek Pospisil. At that time in the first joint tournament, with Mike Bryan, Sock had already tried his hand at London’s Queen´s Club.

Mike Bryan will take the lead in Mate Pavic’s ATP double world ranking in the absence of his injured twin brother Bob on Monday. The Bryans celebrated their 40th birthday in April.
