For Jack Sock it will be cruel in singles in 2018, excellent in doubles and enjoyable in love.
As well as the 2017 season ended for Jack Sock, it will be a cruel 2018. 25 year old American qualified for the ATP Tour Finals in London last year with his surprise win at the Masters 1000cc event in Paris-Bercy, where he reached the semi-finals. Just 5 victories for Sock on the Plus account – with 14 defeats. In Wimbledon, he lost to Matteo Berrettini in round one despite leading 2-0.
The Championships ended with a success for Sock, because he played for Mike Bryan’s brother Bob – and successfully: Bryan and Sock even won the title on Church Road, for Sock already the second after he had won with Vasek Pospisil in 2014.
And Mike Bryan was not only a double partner in Wimbledon, but also a first-class private detective… because after Sloane Stephens, Sock apparently dates another tennis player.
At best, there’s still a lot to be heard from the lady by Sock’s side: 21-year-old Katie Boulter, tennis hopeful from Great Britain, is better than ever before with 117th place – in contrast to Sock, she also survived her first round in Wimbledon and celebrated her first victory in the main field of a major at all.
As reported by womenstennisblog.com, Sock and Boulter in Wimbledon also seemed to share a leisure time pleasure – the UK version of the Love Island dating show. It kind of fits.
