AZP: Petzschner/Melzer and Philipp Oswald in the semi-finals of Bastad

Jürgen Melzer and Philipp Petzschner made it into the semi-finals at the ATP World Tour 250 tournament in Bastad as did Philipp Oswald with Max Mirnyi.

Melzer and Petzschner, who won both Wimbledon and the US Open in 2010 and 2011, beat Marcus Daniell and Wesley Koolhof 7-6 (4) and 6-3. The German-Austrian pair was already leading with a break in the first set, but then had to go over the tiebreak.

In the second set, an early break was enough to make it clear after 86 minutes that I had reached the semi-finals. There, Julia Peralta from Chile and Horacio Zeballos from Argentina will be in second place at the ATP World Tour 250 event.

The tournament favourites are also among the last four: Philipp Oswald and Max Mirnyi had no problems with the Brazilians Fabricio Neis and Fernado Romboli at 6:3 and 6:3 in only 1:03 hours. In the semi-finals, they could face Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini – Grand Slam champions as well. However, the two Italians first have to defeat Marc Lopez and Jaume Munar in the late afternoon.
