ATP Challenger: Maggots lose final significantly

Yannick Maden loses the final of the Challenger tournament in Scheveningen. Thiemo de Bakker gives the top seeded German no chance in the final.

Thiemo de Bakker is the winner of the 64,000 Euro Challenger Tournament in Scheveningen. The 29-year-old Dutchman leaves Stuttgart’s Yannick Maden only three games in front of his home crowd and wins 6-2 and 6-1 in the final, with the wildcard holder crowning himself Guillermo Garcia-Lopez’s successor after just 70 minutes of play.

With the tournament victory the local hero secures 9200 Euro and 90 points for the world ranking list. Maden travels back home with 5400 Euro and 55 ranking points.
